This coming June, the National Emergency Agency plans to operate ‘Turning Point 3’ – a drill whose main purpose is to coordinate the military and civilian systems due to operate in times of crisis.
During the drill – which will include all citizens – governmental offices will be trained in how best to respond to different scenarios while those responsible for providing information to the public will also undergo training.
In order to train the home front, the drill will simulate a non-conventional attack in Haifa and a chemical attack in Eilat. At the same time, exercises in how to protect employees and children will be held in schools and large organizations, hospitals will receive and treat casualties, and civilians will be asked to stay in shelters.
This drill is an opportunity to raise the awareness of the term ‘Culture of Preparedness’, a term that Reut coined in its recent document ‘National Resilience’ Victory on the Home Front which was presented to the Ayalon Committee for studying the preparedness of the home front.

I don’t believe that Turning Point 3 is a mere drill.
I believe that those of us in the West will awaken on June 2 to a world relieved of the Iranian threat.
