Several recent articles relate to the danger of socio and economic collapse, an issue raised by the Reut Institute in our latest work on leapfrogging.
An article in TheMarker points to the shrinking Middle Class in Israel while Merav Arlozorov describes how this group silently carries a disproportionate weight of the economic and security burden.
This trend goes hand in hand with widening gaps in Quality of Life between Israel and the developed nations, and the ensuing danger of a decline of the human capital at Israel’s disposal. Leapfrogging in Quality of Life is thus not a luxury for Israel but essential to its future.
