The Jerusalem Post yesterday featured an article about the recent Reut and ITC’s (NYC UJA funded) policy paper on Israel’s local and national resilience. The article, Home Front Risks Collapse in the Next War, presented the Resilience Network as the main strategy identified by our study for securing the functioning home front during emergencies.
The Resilience Network calls for sectors such as corporations, NGOs households and local government to undergo training that would enable them to function and provide essential services to the public in the event of a national emergency. (Click here for full study, in Hebrew).
In addition, Reut team leader Dana Preisler-Swery , and ITC President Taly Levanon were interviewed by Gal Gabay from Israeli TV channel 23. Preisler and Levanon presented our conclusions on the lack of preparedness of the Israeli home front for national emergencies, as well as our recommendations for strengthening the resilience of the home front.
